The trees now growing here are specific to the area, composed largely of tulip poplar, beech, oak and hickory, with an understory of a variety of shrubs, ferns and wild flowers.
This trail connects to the larger Princeton Ridge, and is important to a a wide variety of wildlife, including; scarlet tanagers, orioles, grosbeaks and many types of warblers. Many animals are to be found as well, including opossums, raccoons and deer.
